Aconcagua 6961 m

On January 25, 2023, I’ve reached the summit of Aconcagua (6961 m), the highest mountain in South America, highest mountain in the Southern Hemisphere and the highest peak on Earth located outside Asia. After an 8-hour ascent from Camp 3 – Collera, I made it to the summit along with three participants of our expedition: Maciek, Paweł and Piotr. Despite the wind and searing cold on the approach, we rushed towards the peak in the best possible moment, combining it with good acclimatization. Only a few more people stood on the summit that day. There was a lot of concern on the approach: several expeditions had previously withdrawn due to avalanche danger. Nevertheless, we safely descended to camp after 13 hours. On Aconcagua I’ve also achieved my altitude record as an expedition leader.
