Khan Tengri 7010 m

After an unsuccesfull attempt in 2021, I returned to the Tian-Shan mountains the following summer. After 3 weeks of acclimatisation, on August 8th, 2022, I climbed the summit of Khan Tengri (7010m), my second summit from the Snow Leopard trophy (5 highest mountains in the former USSR). The mountain requires to cross steep and difficult icefall, to face changeable weather. The culmination of this adventure was 1 200 m final climb along summit ridge, which presents 5A degree of difficulties in Russian scale. The difficult solo ascent and descent in bad weather and heavy snow was one of my most difficult and risky climbs.
