Between 2022 and 2025, I’ve led 4 expeditions to the highest peaks of Ecuador’s Andes. Each of them was an opportunity to climb volcanic peaks lying in the area of the so-called “Avenue of Volcanoes”, located in the vicinity of Quito, the country’s capital. During 4 expeditions, we climbed Cayambe (5790 m), twice Cotopaxi (5897 m) and 3 times Chimborazo (6263 m), the country’s highest point and the mountain farthest from the center of the Earth.
